Permission Request

If you would like to use any material or illustrations copyrighted by Karger or wish to make reprints of an individual book chapter or journal article, please contact Tatjana Sepin or Silvia Meier of Rights and Permissions.

e-Articles

We grant permission for PDFs of digitalized articles from most journals, books or supplement issues to be placed on secure and password-protected websites or web servers.

The permission fee depends on the duration for which you plan to make the PDF available. After three consecutive paid years, the permission fee is waved as of the fourth year. Additionally, we offer you a discount of five percent if you purchase the permission for all three years at the same time.

For more information and a quote, please contact Tatjana Sepin or Silvia Meier of Rights and Permissions.

Linking to KARGER

There is also the option of setting a link from your website to the abstract of an article on our website; use this URL, adding the last six digits of the relevant DOI number: http://content.karger.com/ProdukteDB/produkte.asp?doi=1234563. This only applies to articles in digitalized format, of course.

Visitors wishing to view the full text of such an article can do so either for free if they have an online subscription to the journal in question or via our pay-per-view service.

Setting such a link does not involve any costs or permission but we would appreciate to be informed when you activate the link by an e-mail to Tatjana Sepin or Silvia Meier of Rights and Permissions.

Online Access Sponsoring

By sponsoring online access, you make individual book chapters or journal articles, entire journal issues or even whole volumes (published in 1998 or later) freely accessible to all Karger website visitors. The URL to the sponsored online access can of course be easily integrated into your promotional materials.

A short acknowledgement text, such as "Sponsored by..." in the respective Table of Contents, can make your sponsorship visible to all visitors if you wish. It goes without saying that hyperlinks can be added either to a specially created promotional page (html or PDF) hosted by Karger or directly to your company or product web site.

To explore this option, contact Tatjana Sepin or Silvia Meier of Rights and Permissions.

Foreign Rights and Translations

All queries concerning translations and foreign rights should be addressed to or Tatjana Sepin or Silvia Meier of Rights and Permissions.
